Created in Pirkenhammer, Germany, in the 19th century, these Fischer & Mieg plates are the perfect addition to any tablescape. This lot is for 10 dinner plates. Each features a very low pedestal base, gently scalloped edges, and light and dark pink hand painted stripes on the edges and around the center. Some plates are stamped "F&M" on the underside, dating these pieces to 1853 - 1873. Others have impressions where the stamp has worn away, or are smooth, but identical to the stamped pieces. Dishes are offered in as-found antique condition, with patina, scuffs and paint loss commensurate with age, use and storage. Roughness to edges may be present. Three plates have chips on their rims, another has a hairline crack. Please review all photos before purchasing. Fresh to the market!
