Description: This is an 1850's "Jennings Wheeler & Co - Wholesale Clothing Warehouse" Merchant Token in Circulated Condition. This token seems to be made of brass and has some signs of wear along with some interesting toning, the number "838" somehow toned or something on the surface, and a scratch in the field. This token was sitting in a white paper flip and likely got the toning that way after some sort of cleaning. Not exactly sure how the "838" got on there, but it looks like it's in the surface of the token. The token is basically the size of a U.S. Large Cent.
