Up for sale is a nice antique bound volume of THE LADIES' REPOSITORY from 1856! This is Volume 16 which were published from January through December, 1856. This book has articles of interest to women, fictional stories, poetry and more! This book is nicely illustrated. It was gently handled down through the years. CONDITION: This book is complete and intact, in good condition as evidenced by the photos. The leather half-bound covers are in good condition with some age expected edge and corner wear. The inside covers are in acceptable condition with some cracking and separation at the hinges, both boards are attached. There are no bookplates, markings or writing on the inside covers or end papers. The pages are in acceptable to very good condition, most pages are very nice. I saw two pages that were torn. Some pages, particularly those opposite illustrations, have some foxing. All pages are tight to the binding with exception of the first eight pages that are together but loose from the binding. The leather spine is in good condition with some age-expected wear; the gold gilt lettering is still easily read. This book comes from a smoke free home. This book is interesting historical reading that would make for a nice addition to your library! This book would also make for a great gift for someone special (It is never to early to think about Christmas!). See Photos. Please E-mail with any inquires.
