The token has the image of an Indian head facing left surrounded by 13 stars along the edge surrounding the head and a beaded headband on the obverse. The reverse has an open wreath with the words "NOT ONE CENT" in three lines within it. There are the letters ES below the Indian Head on the obverse. The both obverse and reverse dies were made by Sigel according to Fuld. The token has a plain edge and is ~19 mm in diameter. A great looking and very interesting Civil War patriotic token to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: The token is dated 1863. Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in southeastern Pennsylvania, USA. Reference:Fuld 62/367a with a rarity index R3. Weight and Size: The token is ~19 millimeters in diameter. Artist: Unknown Maker: Sigel. Marks: Has the letters ES above the 3 and below the Indian head on the obverse. Condition: The token is graded About Uncirculated AU 58 by ANACS and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The token looks great and has all of its details very well preserved with minimum wear. The token has some minor scratches and bag marks to the surfaces, which are truly at a minimum.
