Description: Brand new, never worn reproduction of the highest quality, patterning and materials. Made by myself, Thos. Frost Fine Shirting on FB). Beautiful reproduction of the 1874 Indian Wars era Army issue shirt. Made from old stock natural/blue twill 100% wool cassimere that was made by County Cloth/Charlie Childs and purchased from Needle and Thread in Gettysburg. Correct material that gives the shirt the authentic, decidedly “gray” appearance. Tin back tin 1/2” buttons from Button Baron. Shirt is a size large, 42 chest and 16 neck. Correct cotton muslin yoke lining in the shoulders. All hand sewn buttonholes including unique two-button collar at placket. Body and seam stitching is all done in 100% cotton brown thread. All the unique features including pointed-bottom placket, rounded front “skirt”, internal split reinforcements, unique collar shape, full shoulder placket reenforcement, narrow cuffs etc. Great, unique replica of authentic detail made from a now extinct American produced (Charlie Childs/County Cloth) cassimere!
