Illustrations: 15 maps, b/w and colour, some folding. Description: Vols. I & II: 1885; Vol. III: 1882; Vol. IV: 1883. An excellent set, complete in four volumes. Bound by Mudie in half calf and marbled paper-covered boards, spines with five raised bands, gilt tooling, and gilt lettering on morocco labels. All edges marbled. Externally, all volumes remain sound and firm with light spotting and minor scuffing to calf, some rubbing to joints, wear and some bumping to edges and corners, small loss at head of spine of Vols. I-III. Internally, all volumes also sound and firm. Marbled endpapers, clean and bright, with binder's stamped signature to verso of ffeps. Pages generally very clean and tidy throughout, occasional minor blemishes only. A little foxing to margins of two maps in Vol. I, and some further foxing to margins of the three maps in Vol. IV, in each case similarly affecting pages to either side.
