He had been afflicted for some time with hardening of the arteries. His age was about seventy-four years. Mr. Hoke had spent most of his life in Morris where he was in business for a number of years in the Corner Drug store, which he sold some years ago to MacWilliams and Miller, the present owners ... His nearest relatives are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jesse Hoke, a grandson, Archie Hoke, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Lila Horton, all of Omaha, Neb., and a number of nephews and nieces. His wife died a number of years ago. The funeral was held on Thursday at 1:30 o'clock from the Baptist church, the Rev. S. J. W. Chubb officiating. Burial in Hillington cemetery. The Masons had charge of the services."
