With a letter from Craig to Freer loosely inserted. The letter runs to four pages, and is dated the 6th May 1978.Edward Anthony Craig, also known as Edward Carrick, was the song of Edward Gordon Craig and his violinist lover, Elena Fortuna Meo. Carrick's grandmother was the renowned actress Ellen Terry. He changed his surname to distance himself from his father, who had the reputation of being tyrannical and controlling. Despite this, Carrick followed in his father's artistic footprint, becoming an art designer for filmA concise catalogue of different designs for Hamlet and Macbeth, an interesting look into the life of the theatre, and how plays are brought to life.Illustrated with nine plates. CONDITION In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart. A few minor marks and spots to the wraps. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Presentation inscription to the title page.
