Description: Condition:I am offering a collection of gorgeous Type 1 George Burke 4”x 6” photos, some signed and some not signed.The front of the photo looks very nice with his name written on the bottom edge (not an autograph), while theback has evidence of some light adhesive that likely kept the photo adhered to a photo album page.Notwithstanding the imperfections, it is still a Burke and displays nicely. On a 1-5 scale, with 5 being the best, Iwould rate this photo as about 3.5. It does not have the typical George Burke stamp but this gorgeous imageleaves absolutely no doubt. I guarantee the photo to be a Burke and to be a Type 1. Walter played with theWhite Sox only during the 1933 season leaving no doubt the year this image was taken. He made his debut with the Cleveland Indians late in the 1924season, and went on to appear in 174 games (125 starts) with the team through the 1931 season. He recordeda career-high 14 wins during the 1929 season. During his eight seasons with Cleveland, he compiled a 55–52record with 3.92 ERA while registering 275 strikeouts in 964 innings pitched. In July 1932, Miller and outfielderJoel Hunt were traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for outfielder Hal Anderson. Miller appeared in 11games for the Columbus Red Birds, a Cardinals farm team, but did not pitch in the major leagues for St. Louis.Miller's final major league season was as a member of the 1933 Chicago White Sox. In 26 games (14 starts)he had a 5.62 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 105+2⁄3 innings pitched, and a 5–6 record.
