The net silver composition of the coin is 0.1479 troy ounces. The silver component had been removed from the other denominations after 1964.The packaging for the 1969 Proof Set was the same as the prior year. The five coins were placed in a rigid plastic holder with the coins held in place by a black plastic insert. The holder was placed into a blue cardboard box.
