Features include a trio of Leo Fender-designed Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups, a Dual Fulcrum vibrato, Sperzel locking tuners, and a gloss Natural finish. Tonewoods include an ash body, maple neck, and maple fretboard, and this Skyhawk weighs 7lbs 11oz. The trio of MFD pickups have ample sparkle on tap, delivering a touch more midrange heft than most single coil designs. The bridge is spanky, with great snarl and twang, and toggling towards the neck yields a smoother, bell-like quality. Additionally, the independent Bass and Treble EQ knobs enable a broad degree of tonal sculpting precision. This Skyhawk has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
