This is the rare 16 inch and the last year that Steve potts welded the Phoenix, as you know this is one of the legendary vintage mountain bikes made in Marin county California ! This particular model is the se which meant it has a roller cam ( toggle cam ) style brake on rear, again highly desirable model . The bike is mixed with almost period correct parts including Shimano xtr 951 brake levers and front v brakes , 952 front derailer , cranks and 9 speed rear derailer . The hubs are Wtb new paradigm first gen that were made (machined ) in the United States . And the hoops are Wtb laser beam . The tires are Wtb motos . The stem is salsa and has white brothers aluminum handlebars. Thompson 31.8 seat post and limited edition Wtb 98 seat . A key extremely rare piece on this bike that sets it apart from other phoenix’s Is it’s rare paragon machine works billet machined rear brake calipers. Unlike most Wtb cam brakes which use older style pads, These utilize v brake pads .
