Description: 2003 DAVID LOTTON Art Glass Paperweight Vase-Hollyhocks/Flowers-8 3/4"-EX! DIMENSIONS: 8 3/4" tall x approx. 8 1/2" diam. Total weight: 24 lbs. NOTE: please note that this vase is very heavy -- 24 lbs. It requires 2 strong hands to pick up and is awkward to keep ahold of. I estimate the shipping weight will be 35 lbs. Shipping includes quadruple boxing (at minimum) and full insurance. DESCRIPTION: Large vintage art glass vase. By DAVID LOTTON. Mouth-blown colorless clear glass with internal decoration of hollyhocks. Very heavy/massive, paperweight-style vase. Globular form with flaring lip. Flat bottom with round polished pontil mark. Very high quality. Maker's marks: hand signed by the artist inside the polished pontil area "David Lotton 2003"; "David Lotton" label on side. I recently acquired this vase from the estate of the original owner. All sides of the vase are represented in the photos. CONDITION: Excellent original condition. No damage and no significant wear. No restorations / repairs. I added the felt pads to the bottom of the vase. The vase was not previously felted and consequently there are a few scattered light scratches to the bottom of the vase. See photos. Nothing significant or conspicuous. Condition is consistent with having been displayed but only minimally handled or moved over the years and always handled with care. No other scratches. No dings, nicks, bruises, scuffs, rubs. No nicks, chips, flakes, fleabites, etc. Very clean inside and out. No stains, haze, scale, residue.
