Description: From Wikipedia on The Bohemia Club: "The Bohemian Club is a private club with two locations: a city clubhouse in the Nob Hill district of San Francisco, California and the Bohemian Grove, a retreat north of the city in Sonoma County. Founded in 1872 from a regular meeting of journalists, artists, and musicians, it soon began to accept businessmen and entrepreneurs as permanent members, as well as offering temporary membership to university presidents (notably Berkeley and Stanford) and military commanders who were serving in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, the club has a membership of many local and global leaders, ranging from artists and musicians to businessmen.[citation needed] Membership is restricted to men only." The "Annals Of The Bohemian Club" are authored and produced by the club and includes articles, photographs, and activities of its members. They often have specific themes. I have come upon a small collection of Annals and will be listing them individually. Specifically, I have Volumes IV (published in 1930), V (1972), VII (1997), VIII (1997), and IX (2007). This listing is for Volume IX. This volume focuses on music and is titled, MUSIC and MUSICIANS in BOHEMIA The First One Hundred Years [A Symphonic Summary]. Authored by Richard P. Buck, and published by the Bohemian Club, San Francisco, 2007. Limited to 3,000 copies, as stated on the Colophon Page (the last page, not shown in listing photos). Hardcover book, green cloth covered boards with gilt titling on the spine, 7x9.5 inches, xvii, 187 pages + Three CDs and accompanying booklet in a cd case + 2-piece Slipcase (outer case and inner case holding the two items) covered in matching green cloth, with gilt design on the front and gilt titling on the spine. NEAR FINE BOOK, very light rubs to the covers, overall looks and feels unused, tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A small wear issue in the book is that the boards are slightly bowed - see last photo. The book is now tightly wrapped in shrink within the slipcase. This will help with the bowing. The slip case is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. It has light edge and corner wear, some shelf rubs, light dusting marks, a small light red-colored stain on the gilt design on the front. The CDs with pristine playing surfaces, no scratches seen, the accompanying CD booklet is in GOOD CONDITION, with some creasing. A NICE SET! Mathers B143
