Description: 2018 Martin 'Special D' Ovangkol acoustic/electric guitar. Made in Nazareth, PAExcellent, near-mint condition. there are no scratches, dents or gouges; zero sighns of play wear. Aside from some very slight buckle-rash on the tail end of the back, it looks fresh off the showroom. The Fishman Matrix VT Enhanced Electronics work fine, with an easily accessible external battery compartment/cable jack hole.I believe this was an exclusive line made for Guitar Center, which as since been discontinued. You can still see the details and specs on their site, but I've pasted the info in this ad below the description as well,I took this on trade for another guitar, and have done the following work:Loose back braces re-glued with Titebond original. Setup; Clean/polish frets, restrung with Martin Phosphor Bronze light strings (12-54); adjusted neck relief to .006" and the action to 6/64" bass E and 5/64" treble e with the guitar tuned to standard pitch. There is room at the saddle for further lowering in future. She has nice crisp voice; deep bass, a good midrange and clear trebles. Ovagkol's tone has been described as a mix between Mahogany and rosewood, although I feel this one has a darker done more on the rosewood side. I have her set up for my style of playing; finger style and light to medium picking/strumming. She responds well to both. A note on 'action and playability': every guitar's action (the string height at the 12th fret), relief (the amount of forward curve of the fretboard), and playability (the ease with which notes and chords are fretted) will be different depending on the guitar's setup. What is ideal for one person might not suit another, and any adjustment is understood to be the responsibility of the owner.
