This part is an exact fit and interchanges with any and all tools using Ingersoll Rand part 231B-A626 1/2" drive standard length anvils. Do not overlook the thorough examination of the hammers on your existing tool while performing an anvil replacement. These anvils are more like the natural steel of IR OEM genuine anvils that other eBay sellers are offering for sale. My anvils are USA mined steel, USA made and USA heat treated. They have no Ingersoll Rand branding because they are not IR genuine branded parts. Note the auction photo I uploaded today, 9/2/23, from one of my steady eBay competitors selling Taiwan made 231B-A626 anvils. You can see that the rear flank width is narrower and the rear flange width is also narrower than my OEM unbranded anvil version offered in this listing. You are a fool when buying these cheaper prototype anvils because they do not match the appearance and quality of the product I offer in this listing. They also will not perform in a way that was intended by: IR, Mac and Matco when the tool was designed. A narrower contact area means unequal distribution of internal hammering forces within the frame. You are guaranteed shorter anvil life expectancy and the rear hammer will wear at a higher rate due to unequal distribution of contact force. Always think in terms of buying replacement anvils that have the same or matching appearance as the OEM part does. The most popular selling anvil from another eBay competitor does not match the flank dimensions of the IR 231B-A626 anvil. The cost savings for this crappy reject prototype anvil will shorten the life of other hammer frame components and cause the tool to underperform. My anvils are the NEW STYLE anvil. Early production IR 231 tools (typically older than 20 years) had an (OLD STYLE) anvil shaft that was a smaller diameter (measures 0.562" on the end) where the anvil fits into the hammer frame (bottom) for support and alignment. Looking at the NEW STYLE (anvil bottom end measures 0.825" wide) anvil I provide this is a replacement part for 100% of the IR family now. If your tool is over 20 years old it is important that you recognize this concern and compare your anvil shaft diameter to my anvil before you make this purchase. I do not sell the old style anvil. ebay tends to bring out the old and obsolete tools that buyers often fail to note may be an issue. If you are not sure what you have then shoot photos of your tool and the anvil you need to buy. I can look at your part and see that it should work with this anvil I offer. If you have sharp edges or a wear pattern that can be felt with your finger nail on the inside of the hammer travel surface this will cause accelerated wear of a new anvil flanks and may be the reason why the old anvil wore out. Many ebay tool users in my experience do not want to spend the necessary money to correct the cause and effect problems with their air tools. Blaming a new anvil for the poor performance of a tool overlooks the possibility of worn out air motor vanes...which may have caused the destruction of the old anvil through longer-than-necessary and extended hammering time in both directions. *This anvil will NOT fit Ingersoll Rand 2235QTiMAX or 2235QiMAX tools. **This anvil is otherwise compatible with some of these tools as: 231C, 231G, 231GXP, 231H, 231HA, 231XP, 2130,2131, 2131QT, 2135TiMAX, Mac AW4300, Mac AW5500, Cornwell IRC8000, Matco 1769. Snap On, Blue Point, CP and Harbor Freight make tools that use this very popular style anvil. As models and applications will vary the buyer assumes responsibility for buying decisions unless I am consulted with 1st for correct application to your tool. The shipping weight is 8 ounces with an eBay USPS.com Ground Advantage shipping label and tracking. Ground Advantage is the cheapest and slowest shipping service offered on eBay.
