Description: Penn Antique Restoration 30"x79.5" Antique Front Entry Door 4 Windows w/ Glass & 3 Panels Handsome, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, OH. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine and is completely painted. The door has 3 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, and soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The door is supposed to have 4 true-divided windows with original glass. However, the lower vertical mullion/muntin broke off. We could make a similar mullion and add it--message us for a quote. The last 4 photos show a pair of doors that had a similar issue, which we repaired. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Uneven Height: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even width/height, cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be taller/wider--message us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in good structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The door was cut improperly on the lock-stile (see 4th photo). There is a small break on the bottom cross-rail (see 5th photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". All of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches. Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door, allowing you to define its swing so you can install your hinges on either side. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
