Description: This is a Gene Dubois 3/4 Scale Balsa kit of an VP-1 Volksplane. The Volksplane is a popular homebuilt aircraft usually built from a set of plans and powered by a Volkswagen 40 HP engine. The kit has all balsa parts, wire, tissue,and plans, but I could not find the formed windshield. The formed windshield frame is in the kit which should make it easier to recreate the windshield from a small piece of clear plastic. This kit is pretty much old-school, and the parts are not diecut -- you have to cut them from the print-wood. The boxtop says pre-cut engine parts are present, and this is true, but some assembly is required to get an actual engine shape, including cutting aluminum tubing. (See Plan Sheet 2 of 2, and the last photo.).
