Description: This is a very rare early pressing of the excellent POINT OF DEPARTURE LP by ANDREW HILL on Blue Note Records (BST-84167, "VAN GELDER" machine stamps in dead wax) from 1965. A fantastic jazz record from this great artist! The vinyl is in VG+ condition; visibly glossy and very clean with some light, unobtrusive surface noise. The cover is in VG/VG+ condition with a few minor scuffs, some writing in red ballpoint pen near the top left corner of the back side, as pictured, and a one-inch seam split at the top right edge. The original printed Blue Note insert sleeve is included with some light wear to the front and back, as pictured, and four- and five-inch seam splits at the center of two edges. Don't pass up a rare gem like this!
