Description: Hello there, I am selling my old Nook HD+. It comes with a brand new battery pack inside - since the old one was bad, I replaced it. Since Barnes & Nobles discontinued the device, the Stock OS won't boot up normally anymore. I took the liberty of gutting that OS and replacing it with an old version of android (Android 7.1 Nougat). You can see the (1 minute) boot-up time on the video attached to this listing. The system defaults to landscape orientation when booting up, but that's not something I could change easily. It will auto-rotate to portrait after a time. For all intents and purposes, its just an old tablet with Android on it. I installed Firefox and you can still sign on to your google play account. However, the device is pretty slow, so it is best for reading and watching videos. The screen resolution and color quality is pretty good. Since the software is clearly a bit hacky, its probably best if a technical user bought this device. For example, I had a crash on it once where it wouldn't boot, and the solution was to shut it down 8 times so that recovery mode would activate. There won't be tech support, maybe you'll want to replace the OS or hack it in some other way though.
