Description: Antique Ansonia Clock LA FRANCE Black Enamel Cast Iron Mantel Clock NY Pat 1882. Estate find, as found. Tested and after several starts and restarts it is running great for 36 hours. It had Sat for years, and arbors were wound tight. I just kept restarting and it loosened up and has been running well since. It does need to be level, it is very sensitive. I am sure it needs oiled and cleaned. I am not a clock expert, and did have it running for 36 hours. The case is HEAVY and solid. In honest vintage condition, no cracks or breaks. Has some paint residue? Paint drips. Paint loss, honest age for more than 100 years old. The faux marble trim has age finish loss, as found. Comes with a key not original marked India #6.
