Description: 800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Antique wood parlor-style shelf clock measures 22 inches tall x approximately 14.25 inches long x 5 inches wide. The wood on this clock looks like oak; the decorative top and sides are carved and intact; base is thick and solid. The clock face is signed Ansonia and has some light discoloration from age. Pendulum is well decorated with a great patina. This clock ran for awhile after the movement of loading and bringing it home. Includes a key but I have not wound it. The biggest issue of this clock is the door—the framing around the top of the door is very loose; the reverse paint glass has heavy wear to the gold color as shown, and the glass has been partially replaced or pieced along the bottom as shown—has a piece of glass all across the bottom that has no color, and has partial label remnants on the front. The little strips of wood (located on the inside of the door) that are supposed to hold the door glass in place are missing except for one long piece along one side. The small "latch" for the door is loose but still holds the door if adjusted. I have looked online at some of the Ansonia catalog pages but I have not found the exact style or pattern name of this clock. Will probably date to the late 1880s-1890s. Will need cleaning to look its best. This clock will probably be shipping on its back, with the pendulum and key wrapped separately—the clock door will be lined on each side of the glass with cardboard to help protect the glass. Clock is selling as-is and as-found for parts, repair or restoration. Please look closely at the pictures and ask any necessary questions before bidding. Thanks for looking!
