Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique furniture . This is a fabulous Victorian Wall Shelf with drawers and mirror. American. Eastlake. Dates to the 1870s to Circa 1875. Fabulous form. Has mirror. Two candleholders. Two drawers. Near the bottom is a match holder. Beautiful piece a step above the others. Nice pierced walnut with simple carved leaves. The 2 drawers with central panels and white porcelain knobs. The drawers also have several small flower type incised carvings on the ends(pictured). Original round mirror. Very beautiful and funtional Victorian period piece. Antique. Over 100 years old. Good condition for age. The original mirror has some cloudiness and silvering loss that only add character to this true antique wall shelf. Lower porcelain knob and screw appear to be an old replacement. I saw a couple minor age splits. I see a few splits on the walnut ring around mirror( pic #12 show a couple splits). Finish is old and in good shape. Wall cabinet shelf is structurally solid. Possible minor tip losses. Nothing broken off and reglued. Beautiful true American Victorian Wall shelf. Decorative and functional piece of art. Normal light wear, scratches, scuffs. etc... typical for age and use. Measures about 34 1/2", 13 3/4" wide, and 5 1/4" at extremes. Pictures are considered part of the description.
