Description: I have enjoyed this beautiful, one of a kind decanter on my dresser along with antique perfume bottles. It has an eight sided pattern and is made of heavy cut crystal, hand blown glass with occasional air bubbles. Four side panels are cut with a deep grid pattern and have cranberry painted dots. Four others are intricately etched and painted amber. Between each panel is an etched clear section. I love glass like this, it is like you are looking into a room of glass windows. The bottom is stunning with an eight petal etched flower at the center. It is cut into points which are also painted and etched. The effect reminds me of a kaleidoscope. Equally impressive is the stopper which you can see is unfortunately damaged. One of the eight spokes has broken off, there is a chip at the top and also at the bottom of the stopper. This is seen in the last 3 photos. I have admired this unique decanter for about two years and never noticed until photographing it is repaired just under the amber band at the bottom of the neck. You have to be looking up at it to notice. This is shown in photo 9. Please see all photos to judge condition for yourself and ask if you have any questions. I have looked and looked for something similar online and haven't come across anything like it. My guess is that it is first half of the 1800's. If anyone has information about this please message me! 8.25" tall with the stopper. 3.75" across at the widest point.
