Antique French Floral Garland Linen Cotton Jacquard Fabric ~ Green Ochre Gold

Description: Stunning length of antique French woven jacquard, circa about 1880 or so. A gorgeous floral garland variation in a large scale, intended for furnishings/interiors.Denser. Generally textiles of this nature are linen/hemp, cotton and at times had some silk in the fibers. A refined textile which is somewhat organic and rustic as well hue to the linen/hemp and earthy natural green palette. Has almost a fine linen/burlap weave and feel.The hue is a green & ochre/wheat yellow gold. The green which was hard to capture fully is somewhere in a forest or garden green that leans into a jade tone in certain lighting. Not blue or teal/turquoise as some photos seem to show.An excellent textile for an abundance of interior projects; decorative upholstery, bags etc..It was woven on a wider old French jacquard loom so very nice to have found a wider width in 19thc French textiles too!**Condition appears very nice for it's age though I've done nothing to it. I noted just a hint of mild oxidation in a few areas which is inherent of early green dye. I am airing it a bit as it was stored for a very long time.In overall lovely condition.**Measures~ 52" wide by 1 yard long ~ I can keep up to 3 yards in one length uncut/continuous.
