Description: This bolt of beautiful homespun European linen dates from the early to mid 1800s. ~~ This wonderful fabric is a lovely naturally slightly warm, pale toned linen. The topside is slightly warmer than the underside! ~ This bolt has a lovely floppy feel that is sturdy and slightly stiff and coarse, but also light and almost soft from the slightly worn and piled surface texture. Gorgeous natural texture and tone! The original loom ties are on one short end. This fabric is a medium to heavy weight hemp linen with a lovely plain weave. Originally this fabric would have been for household use for sheeting or clothing fabric. This bolt is ideal for window treatments, table runners, pillows, upholstery etc! This could also be dyed for a beautiful effect! Machine washable over and over and over ~*~ ~ Wonderfully high quality. I love knowing these linens were grown without the use of pesticides, just lovely natural fabric. ~*~ *~ ( ELA156 ) MEASUREMENTS : This bolt measures about 19.25 inches wide by ONE YARD long, Im selling this bolt by the one yard length, so if you require further lengths, simply change the quantity button and you will recieve one long length ( eg if you require 4 yards, purchase a quantity of 4 and you will receive one long, 4 yard length by 19.25 inches wide ) CONDITION : This gorgeous textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are sections of small pale splotchy marks here and there that mostly only appear on one side of the fabric. These marks may wash out, or could be cut around for projects. If this is important to your purchase, please email and we will check the condition of your length ! ~ This may be best for projects like upholstery, where only one side of the fabric will be visible.
