Description: A matched pair of c1850-1875 5 3/4"h perfume bottles with original stoppers, rectangular shape with rounded corners, cut in button pattern with floral engraving on shoulders, starburst cut to underside base. Both in good condition with scattered nicks/small chips to cut button edges, no cracks, no interior cloudiness. Large chip to the fitter end of one stopper. Please view all photos using magnify function to assess and confirm condition. Identified online as Boston & Sandwich from Brunk Auctions Catalog 337, lot 584, showing a nearly identical version of this bottle in vaseline glass with a different stopper (same stopper as seen on other Sandwich identified bottles). A kind eBayer disagreed, writing, "These bottles are well known to be of 'New England Glass Co.' attribution." I found another version of this bottle online in opaline glass identified as NEGC. So presumably one or the other!
