Description: After the Apollo 1 fire NASA ran a series of full-scale flammability tests of the Command Module and Lunar Module to evaluate improved fire-resistant materials so that the Apollo program could resume flights. One of these fire-resistant materials tested and then used in the spacecraft was teflon-coated fiberglass lacing tape used to tie groups of wires and cables into bundles. I was able to get a section of this unflown lacing and I've created a beautiful certificate with a piece of the lacing approximately 3/4" inch long attached. The certificate itself is 4 1/4" x5 1/2". The front and back are illustrated with this listing. Also included is a copy of the original letter of authenticity, on NASA letterhead, from the NASA employee who got the lacing.
