The large Ethiopian Opal weighing 4.37ct. is prong set in a delicate 14k white gold pierced mounting in the Art Deco/Edwardian style, the larger proportions of which bring it closer to the later retro period. This one-of-a-kind ring has an accompanying written appraisal conducted by an independent GIA certified gemologist (a value of $60) which will be included gratis with your purchase, for insurance purposes. The appraisal outlines details about the composition of the ring as well as it's retail value of $3885 USD. The shank is stamped 14k and signed with the maker's mark: LAF which was the mark for La France jewelry company. This beautiful ring is rhodium plated (which gives gold and silver the more shiny polished finish instead of the matte). The Opal displays some vibrant fire, with flashes of red to green and orange to yellows.
