Description: Here we have a highly sought after and collectible Rembrandt etching entitled The Pancake Woman, with a certificate of authenticity from Galerie Michael in Beverly Hills, CA. Th original plate was made in 1635. There were between 300 and 400 etchings known to be made, with 79 known to remain. The etchings were inspected in detail by a pair of art brokers in 2023 who were anxious to represent them, but we could not agree on terms. It was their professional opinion that everything looks perfect, especially the type of paper that was used and the condition it is in. Please ask any questions prior to making a purchase. Condition of etching is excellent. There is mild wear on the frame. Framed size is 17.75" x 16". Size of etching is shown on COA. the item will be shipped via FedEx, fully insured at my expense. Any changes made to this item including removal of the frame, backing or glass will render it not returnable under any circumstances. The paper should not be exposed to air or handling, which is why it was framed the way that it was, using rag board. Any professional who works with antique art can see what it is without having to disturb the framing in any way. It has been authenticated twice.
