Description: Gorgeous 1936 Singer hand crank sewing machine model 15-88 with serial number JB 497690 with blackside attachments and bobbins and original sales label from St. John's. This heavy duty, very smooth running machine was retrofitted to hand crank with a new hand crank device that fits into the threaded hole in the back put there by Singer in 1936 just for the purpose of adding a hand crank. This machine comes in a custom made base , made from antique hardwood and is ready for table top sewing! We threaded up this machine and sewed stitches into lighter fabric then sewed stitches into 6 layers of heavy denim and this machine sewed it easily, the white stitches are our sample ones in the heavy denim. This machine ran strong, and smoothly and sewed perfect stitches top and bottom stitch. We tested all functions, bobbin winder with brand new tire, and everything is in perfect working order. This beautiful 15-88 is cleaned, lubed, adjusted for tension and is ready to sew! Cosmetic condition is very good, decals in excellent condition, Singer logos intact, with bright gold colors, black lacquer paint also in great shape, shiny, with some typical pre use on the bed. Mechanically runs perfect and extremely smoothly with no friction. Comes with a new hand crank, bobbin case, 4 black side bobbins and the original Singer instruction manual, various black side attachments and presser feet, and a few tools.
