Description: Here we have a very nice Black Duck Drake duck hunting decoy by Jim Pierce, of Havre de Grace Maryland. I'm guessing early 1980's. A working decoy in a preening position; solid wood, with painted eyes, and all original hardware below. The Black Duck is in very good used condition for its working age, with very slight rubs and scuffs to paint, see also the peeling paint at tip of bill, likely from water damage in the few days out on the Bay. The bird is signed on the bottom, plus having his copper tag nailed below, and the letters JP stamped into base. See photos for the full picture. Measurements = 13" long by 6" wide by 7 1/2" high.
