Many of our fish look far different as juveniles than they do as adults. Also, in most cases, males are much more colorful than females. We do our best to provide pictures of both an adult male in breeding color and a picture of juveniles. We are asked occasionally how we can sex fish at juvenile size. Sexing fish at juvenile sizes is easy if you have the experience and know what to look for. The real trick is to make sure you have 20-30 of the same fish in the tank. Then you can usually pick out several that are showing dominance in the tank.As always, if we make a mistake and you have bought a listing for a guaranteed male and it turns out to be a female, then we will replace it at our cost no matter how long it has been.GuaranteeWe guarantee live arrival and good health on all fish we ship.
