Brass Cabinet/Drawer Pulls -Set Three Pulls, Five Post Backplates, 2 Escutcheons

Description: For sale as a set are the following vintage/antique solid brass items: Three (3) drawer pulls (bails with posts); five (5) floral pattern post backplates; and two (2) intact keyhole escutcheons + one (1) broken keyhole escutcheon. The relief on the pull is approximately 1 1/2" high. The center of post to center of post measurement is approximately 2". From the end of one bail to the other, where the posts come closest together (center inner space of bail) is approximately 1 5/8". These items have been very lightly polished. They were in very good shape when purchased, and did not need much attention. I do not believe these are recent reproductions. They seemed to be very old, and if they are reproductions of, for instance, Chippendale cabinet hardware, I think they were done many years ago. Note: I do not know for sure if the keyhole escutcheons originally came with the drawer pulls and post backplates, but if they did not, they are a very close match. Note: One of the keyhole escutcheons is broken in half (see photographs). As it is very delicate at the break points, I do not know if it could be repaired by silver brazing, expoxy, or other method. There is a screw hole on both broken pieces, so it may be possible to effect some use of the broken escutcheon. These items would make a great addition to a jewelry or other specialty cabinet where industrial strength pulls are not required. A reminder that there are only five post backplates, so only two pulls can be fully matched.
