Description: Hand-picked raw fresh acorns from untreated trees with and without caps. Each was picked this season and can be purchased in increments of 1 lbs. (If you select quantity 1 you will receive 1 pound, quantity 2 you will receive 2 pounds, etc.) Since these have not been baked, and are from trees without pesticides, some may have little bugs called acorn weevils – baking will kill the weevils. However, if you plan to use these acorns to feed squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and other little critters they will l-o-v-e the weevils. They do not harm trees as they need the acorn for their life cycle. Chickens and ducks will devour them as well. 😊 Some may have cracks which make it even easier for them to eat.
