Thank you! DESCRIPTION: This auction features a 1991 Manhattan Toy Company green pterodactyl. This is a stuffed animal plush and has a very soft, green velour-type fabric instead of "fur." He has a bit of friendly, abstract look to him with two plastic black button-type pieces for eyes. There are also floppy wings and plump claw "feet" at the base. He bears the crown-style Manhattan Toy Co. logo tag toward the back, left of his tail. On the back of this tag, there is basic information, and a date of 1991, too. My understanding is that these dinosaurs are really quite rare at this point. I have been selling here on eBay since 2003. I remember back in the early 2000s these were already highly coveted by collectors. Although I made a point of looking for them just about everywhere, this is the only one I have ever found. As such, this is the first time I have ever offered one because of their scarcity. He is a great little dinosaur and would make a wonderful addition to any Manhattan Toy Co. collection or even for that special little kiddo who loves dinosaurs. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to help. CONDITION: FAIR ~ I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition rating. With age and use considered, I would say that Mr. Pterodactyl appears to be in Fair condition for the age and use. This is especially considering he is a toy -- and is now 33 (almost 34!) years old. I have checked the green velour and do not see any rips, tears, or even repairs. In addition, he is still quite soft. I did notice that his head can kind of lean to the side at times. I honestly don't know if that's just the way he was made or if this is something to do with age. As far as I can tell, there is not any type of rod that holds his head up, so I have to assume that some of this may even be on purpose. Even so, I did want to note it just in case (this can be seen in the pictures, too). He does not have any odors, stains, or other issues that would cause a problem. I would, however, recommend a very gentle surface wash to him. I only say this, as there is likely a few decades of unseen dust here and there. I don't feel more than a quick once-over is really necessary. All in all, I do feel he is doing ok. If there is something I may have missed regarding his condition, though, please just let me know and I will be happy to help. With age and use considered, I would still say Mr. Pterodactyl would be considered in Fair condition for the age and use of it.
