Description: What an interesting antique advertising piece this is! The fold-outcelluloid pocket ruler was a give-away for the Provident Savings LifeAssurance Society in New York. Ruler folds out in three places andmeasures 12". When closed, it measures about 4 1/2" long. The ruler side has a variety of information (i.e. "Total payments topolicy holders and amount now held for their benefit over$32,000,000.") See photos for more. Flip side has full monthlycalendar for the year 1905. Ruler was made by the Whitehead and HoagCompany, Newark, NJ. Ruler is in great condition, with the exception of a spot of oxidation from age.
