Description: Maker: Two "Limoges France" marks appear on the reverse of this delightful antique porcelain dresser tray. One is an unidentified red decorator's mark, the other the green arrow white ware mark of Laviolette. Age: The Laviolette company produced fine porcelain goods between 1896 and 1905. That means this dresser tray is between 120 and 127 years old. Source: third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston. Design: The pure white rectangular tray features a finely detailed cherub surrounded by raised gold scrollwork within a field of delicate purple flowers and green leaves. Size: It's 9 inches long, 6 1/8 inches wide and 3/4 inch deep. It weighs 11.9 ounces. Condition: It's in excellent condition for its age with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs or crazing. There is wear to the gold edge - it's visible in the photos. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
