Description: Connecticut Falcons 1978 Yearbook Joan Joyce World Champions Softball Program The young woman who struck out Hall of Famers Henry Aaron and Ted Williams--the late Joan Joyce remains to this day one of the world's greatest athletes. In 1976, she teamed up with the tennis star Billie Jean King and others to found the International Women’s Professional Softball League. Joyce became the player-coach of the Connecticut Falcons, a team she owned with King. The Falcons took the W.P.S.L. crown in four straight years before the league went out of business. This 1978 Falcon program is very rare. Lots of photos! 48 pages. In good condition. Tight staples. Some edge, corner and surface wear here and there. Original owner wrote a few small notations on the scorer page. Good program! Please ask if you have any questions.
