Description: Cover with one pair of CSA #6. Both stamps have four excellent margins. Nice cancellation dated July 27, 1862 in Richmond, VA. Letter is addressed to an attorney in Danville, VA. As shown in the photos, the front of the envelope is in good shape, with a few crinkles along the left-hand side but otherwise pretty clean. On the rear there is a note from the sender, a few stains and pencil notations, and a number of spots where it appears stamp hinges had been applied to mount this in an album. Overall nice and an interesting piece of postal history. Scott catalog value $100. Will only ship to US locations. Feel free to check out my other listings.
