Trower writes great songs for the guitar as he does not strictly break his playing into just 'Rhythm Chords' or 'Lead Single Notes' parts. Instead each song is a very interesting mix of various combinations of rhythmic and single and multi-note lines with complimentary bass lines that weave in and out of each other. The leads are mostly Trower-approved blues-based licks that fill in the sections between strong verse/chorus riffs and patterns. As always, it is recommended to do what comes most easily, then work on anything you find more difficult over time. These DVDs may be useful to some over a considerable period, going back to more difficult parts periodically as their ability advances.
