Publisher: BELFORD, CLARKE & CO, CHICAGO & NEW YORK These antique books are in good condition, has previous owner's name in each volume on end paper and two volumes have a letter/# written on end paper, otherwise no other writing found, pages are clean and in good condition and somewhat browned with age. The covers are mostly clean with some rubbing/shelf wear and some spots if held at an angle to light...Volume II has the most spotting to the front cover. The gold lettering on the bindings is bright. The joints/hinges and bindings are all tight and solid. Overall a very nice solid antique set.
