Description: This was one of my 1949 Christmas gifts. It still has a pair of the 1949 paper wrapped Eveready D cell batteries & get this......they have no corrosion & still read 1.3 volts. The body is in two half metal castings with an aluminum reflector & a chrome steel handle The back has cast-in lettering reading "Delta Electric Company Marion Indiana made in u.s.a" Below this are instructions to open the two halves. No it does not light. I don't know if the bulb is out or the 1.3 volts is not enough or the top switch is faulty. No paint chips as I never used it
