Description: This rare vintage Dwight "Doc" Gooden electronic bat from 1988 is a must-have for any true NY Mets fan. In very good used condition, and sold by the original owner, the bat's electronic functions have been tested and are working. This era of Mets baseball included some of the most exciting (and miraculous!) baseball played at Shea Stadium. Doc Gooden--known as Dr. K--was the star of the Mets' pitchers. This authentic toy bat with its reproduction Dwight Gooden autograph is a unique collectible addition for your 1980s New York Mets memorabilia. For added authenticity, this listing includes the original packaging! Regretfully, the original plastic whiffle ball is not present. (I suspect it found its way into a storm drain somewhere in Queens, NY.) All lights and functionality have been tested and operate correctly. Takes one 9V battery--not included. The printed decal including the reproduced signature is in good condition with only very slight nicks and/or indentations from previous use--see photos for details. Manufactured by Nasta Industries, Inc. for Geoffrey, Inc. (Toys 'R' Us). Ages 3 and up.
