The color of the Bakelite on the top, bottom, and inside the compact is absolutely beautiful. The top of the compact has a brass compartment with a small mirror. The compact is about 3 3/4" x 2 7/8" x 1/2". Condition As found, the compact has a couple of condition issues: The mirror has streaks and missing silvering as seen. These are all on the back of the mirror and cannot be mitigated or cleaned from the front. there is not puff with the compact The brass lid on the mirrored section has some variation in the patina as seen.
