Description: This is a reproduction of Ford part number B7A 6750-B It is the dipstick for all 1957 Ford passenger cars with the front sump oil pan of the Y block V-8 and with the dipstick located on the right front of the engine into the timing cover. The will also work for the 1954-1956 Y block Ford passenger car engines but the length of this part is 1/2" longer but the graduation marks of full and low are in the correct position. I have recently discovered that this part is also correct for the 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1962 passenger cars with the 292 engine and will also fit the 292 and 312 in the Mercury models 1955, 1956, 1957, 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1962. This expands the fitment from the 1957 and 1958 model years. This does not fit the 332, 352.390 etc FE engines. This part has LONG been unavailable and I had them made due to my frustration in finding a good used one for my Y block engines. The markings on the dipstick are an exact reproduction. In looking at a few of these sticks, I found that some had the FoMoCo trademark stamped into the stick and some did not, I did not add this symbol as I do not want to be sued by Ford Motor Co.
