Description: I bought another copy of this book last year, and I recently took a course where they gave us a free copy.Since I already had my old book with my highlights and notes, I used that one. Brand new, never even opened. It's also the best book on embedded systems development I've ever read! It's much more practical than books that just serve as references for specific platforms/processors. Instead, it walks you through the process of mapping out the desired functionality of your system (flowcharting, state tables, etc), choosing appropriate parts, and then getting down to specifics about good coding practices. This isn't about just making something work, it's about following a system. If you have an eye towards a job in this field, or if you just want to develop at home with sound practices that are actually used in the industry, then this if your jumping off point. I can't recommend this book enough! Free shipping and ships the same day!
