Description: This carousel horse is modeled after a 1911 Looff medieval armored jumper-pictured on page 47 of The Carousel Animal book; Text by Tobin Fraley, and photographed by Gary Sinick. This beautiful hand-carved wooden horse has a real horse hair tail, glass eyes, and 2 carved lions in the cantle. Romance side has a carved lariat rope and horn, and faceted simulated jewels along the neck and elsewhere. This horse is big and heavy-it measures approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, 5 feet 2 inches long, fortunately it sits on a pole on a roller base. It detaches from the pole for easy transport.
