They may have a crack that has been repaired or they may have some wear from years of use. The spools are compatible with Mitchell reels and are perfect for storing and organizing your fishing line. Made in France, these spools are of high quality and are sure to last for many fishing trips to come. The black color adds a sleek look to your reel, while the brand name ensures a reliable purchase. The spools are clean, have a drag spring and washers, and operate well; some are large capacity and some are small capacity. I attempted to give each order a combination of large and small but the orders are not consistent with size. The spool cases may be a combination of small and large or Garcia Mitchell or Mitchell. Some have cracks in the lid that have been repaired and some are without lettering. All of the spool cases are solid and operate well. The item(s) that you receive may or may not be the actual item seen in the photos since I have many units of this item and there are many pieces in the mix, so they will never be exactly identical.
