Description: This DDR East German Makarov Brown Leather Holster is a must-have for any collector of militaria. The holster is marked with the German language and features a brown leather design. It is an original item from the Cold War era and is perfect for display or as a unique addition to any collection. The holster is in great shape and is a great find for anyone interested in this rare piece of history. 8 total available 1 holster per purchase, use volume discount or make offers! Condition ranges from, Good+ to Excellent (many look nearly unissued), sorry no hand select. All holsters are marked inside with "MdI" plus a manufacture date code (Quarter/Year) underneath (see photos). Dates range from 1983 (=C) to 1985 (=T). The DDR Ministry of the Interior, or Ministerium des Innern (MdI) was established in 1949. The MdI was one of the ministries of the armed forces and was responsible, among other things, for the People’s Police or Volkspolizei, also known as the VoPo, and the combat groups, the Kampfgruppen. In 1963 the official title of the Minister of the Interior of the DDR became Chef der Deutschen Volkspolizei or Chief of the German People’s Police. No leather torn or ripped. A few have some high edge wear (around mag holder), a few have a ding here or there on the leather, but again most look nearly unissued, any wear appears to be from storage. I have another lot of these for sale, cheaper price due to the German markings being blocked out, but if you dont care about that, check out my other auction of German Mak Holsters. Thanks
